What is this, a soap opera?
Mark Weight is in the ring and welcomes us to the live show on behalf of Dr. McMann who is at the broadcast position, where he should be. Weight calls out Bram Corbett and Dead End. Weight asks Corbett about the pushing match with Daniel Ryder last week. Corbett says he wants to apologize to Ryder. He says he respects Ryder and thought Ryder had attacked him.
Daniel Ryder walks to the ring. He says he doesn't accept the apology because he heard a lot of negative remarks toward him which he can't easily forget.
Corbett asks Ryder how he can make it up to him.
Ryder says there is "no way."
Corbett suggests they team up next week and fight against the one’s responsible, the Lair.
The fans applaud and that seems to convince Ryder to accept.
Monkeywrench vs. Issei
Both men show their best in a high-impact match. Issei hits his top rope moonsault and covers for the pin. But Monkeywrench kicks out! Issei is shocked. Monkeywrench gets a second wind and lands the neckwrencher. Monkeywrench gets the pin.
Hack vu
Hack Viciously joins the broadcast position.
Orion vs. Magnus Murray Head
Orion has the advantage most of the way. During the match, Hack confirms that Serpent will be involved in a handicap match against Alley, Fred Verge, The Prowler and Zohar. Hack also says he'll wrestle a ''warm up'' match for his title defense in October tonight vs. Chris Slaughter.
Orion is about to TWA Murray when Puncture runs in and the two beat Orion. Raider runs in for the save. Orion wins by DQ.
Hack leaves the broadcast position.
Nihilist vs. Heat Seeker
--Balcony Match--
The loser will be thrown down to the floor from about 20 feet up. They fight in an empty balcony, brutally attacking each other with several kicks and punches. After many close calls for both men, Nihilist gains the advantage with a low blow and suplexes Heat.
But Nihilist loses his balance! Oh no!
They both fall onto the floor below.
The referee declares Nihilist the winner because he landed on Heat.
Serpent vs. Alley + Zohar + The Prowler + Fred Verge
--Handicap Match--
Serpent holds his own for a while, but once he loses the advantage, it’s gone. On an early exchange, Zohar accidentally hits Alley, which adds tension to the match as the two eye each other while beating on Serpent. The Prowler tries to cool them down, and does, until another accident when Serpent throws Alley into Zohar.
While The Prowler tries to keep Alley and Zohar apart, Serpent brainbusts Verge and gets the pin.
Chris Slaughter vs. Hack Viciously ©
--XWL Title--
Slaughter is impressive early, but Hack takes control. Slaughter battles back after Hack pounds on Slaughter’s back. Slaughter nails a fallaway slam from the top rope, but before he can go for the pin, Victor Slaughter runs down and distracts the referee, who holds off Victor from getting into the ring.
While the ref isn't looking and Chris and Victor try to battle, Bat runs in from the stands, nails a tornado DDT to Hack and slithers out of the ring. Chris turns around and pins Hack.
