XWL Friday Night Live

Sept. 4, 1998

We're live with hosts Mark Weight and Dr. McMann.

The new power

Serpent walks to the ring and groans about how he wasn't beaten for the title two times. He mentions a rematch produced the same result and will be shown at the end of the live 90-minute show "just because the assholes running this place have it in for me and want to make me look bad."

Hack Viciously comes to the ring and talks about politics and how he has power now that he is XWL Champion. Says it doesn't bother him that he didn't pin Serpent.

Serpent wants a rematch. Hack says all right, as long as Serpent wins three matches in the next three weeks. He says tonight will be a tag match. He won't say who his partner will be yet. Hack tells Serpent to leave. He does.

Victor Slaughter comes to the ring and asks to become a member of the HVC. Hack says he made a match between Slaughter and Edan LePage for later in the show. If Slaughter wins, he's a member of the HVC (Hack Viciously Crew).

Raider vs. Zohar

Hack Viciously does color with Mark Weight and Dr. McMann for part of the show. He says Raider is impressive and he would rather lose the title than face Raider. Raider suplexes Zohar several times, destroying Zohar's back and Raider gets the convincing pin.

Caught on tape

Via security camera in the back, we see Victor Slaughter attack Edan LePage and leave him laying. Hack says that's what he likes to see.

CNN + NBC vs. Issei and D.J. Torrid

Hack points out that these are the former champs thanks to HVC. CNN and NBC win by pin.

Python vs. Alley

Python takes control early but Alley counters. Heat Seeker and Edan LePage run down and attack Alley. The Prowler and Nihilist run in for save. Serpent shows up. Huge brawl. Alley wins by DQ.

Hack leaves the broadcast position.

Magnus Murray Head + Puncture vs. Michael Hawk + Kevin Block

Hawk is attacked before the match. Hack Viciously goes to the ring. Is this a match? Hack approaches Block. Hack says Block once had a little success streak. Hack could bring it back. He tells Block to fight Hawk next week and if he wins, Hack will consider letting Block into the HVC.

The HVC attacks Block and Hack puts the spinebreaker on him. Hack said Block would get the fifth spot...but there are only three members right now.

Serpent's Lair and Viper members all run out and fight.

No contest?

--TV title--

Both men appear tired from their fights and backstage attacks. Slaughter shows ferocity and dominates the much bigger and stronger LePage. Slaughter eventually nails a clothesline from the top and pins LePage to win the title.

New champion.

Hack Viciously, Magnus Murray Head and Puncture go to the ring to celebrate briefly and welcome Slaughter aboard with high fives.

The HVC 4th

Hack Viciously walks out. He welcomes the fourth member of the HVC, Bat, his tag team partner for the night. Hack calls out Serpent. Hack introduces Serpent's mystery partner as being...Badger!

Hack Viciously + Bat vs. Serpent + Badger

After Hack and Bat shake hands, Bat ends up behind Hack. Suddenly, Bat attacks Hack and nails a tornado DDT! Serpent goes for the pin and Serpent and Badger win the match. Serpent and Bat embrace!

Bat and Serpent attack Badger until the HVC arrives and starts a fight. Serpent's Lair (minus LePage) responds, as do the Vipers, and the war is on. The fight is still on as we cut away from live programming.

-The following is a taped XWL title match-
Serpent vs. The Prowler vs. Hack Viciously
--XWL Title--

After a long fight that goes deep into the crowd, Viciously wins by piledriving Prowler onto the floor after Serpent is left laying in the ring by Viciously’s spinebreaker. After the match the fight between Serpent and Hack continued, which resulted in a battle royal breaking out with every wrestler in XWL!

Raider was the last man standing in the ring at the end.
