April 30, 1999
We're live with hosts Mark Weight and Michael Hawk.
Expiration date
John Leary walks to the ring. "As you all know, July 1 is fast approaching, which means several wrestlers contracts expire. The forming of the Union has opened up my eyes a bit. But I also must be realistic. I have set a date, May 21. If by that time, Union members have not re-signed, I will assume the worst and stars like Kevin Mash, Dead End and Monkeywrench will be taken off Vengeance and this show. They'll still be paid, but if they refuse to sign fair deals, I will not allow them to have any presence on TV. Unlike other organizations, I at least have the balls to tell you fans how it is."
Kevin Mash walks to the ring.
Mash: "So, boss, what do you consider fair? Is that generous $100 a match deal your idea?"
Leary: "Let's tell the truth, shall we? My offer was $1,000 a match, and at the quality of your matches when I offered it, that was quite generous. You sucked. But you've improved, somewhat. And the fans seem to like you. So, in front of all these people, I'm willing to offer you the following: a four-year deal worth $3,000 per match.''
Mash: ''Fuck you.''
Leary: "What?
Mash: "Hey, let's not do this now. Call me and set up a time for late next week and we'll get negotiating."
Mash leaves.
Edan LePage vs. Kevin Mash
Several momentum changes highlight this hard-hitting match. Mash powerslams LePage three times in a row, but LePage chokeslams
Mash. LePage goes for a powerbomb, but Mash slips through his legs and dropkicks the back of LePage's head. He locks on the jobber clutch, but LePage stands up and whips Mash over the top rope. As he recovers, Orion sneaks down and hits LePage with a chair four times while Mash holds the ref's head. LePage is TWAed on the chair. Mash goes back in and puts the jobber clutch back on. LePage can't keep his arm up. Mash wins.
Payback
Victor Slaughter walks to the ring. Says he is owed payback on Python. Video recap of Python attacking Slaughter. Slaughter wants a cage match. He calls Python a loser. Python is wired down to the ring from the ceiling. He cuts his own wires, pulls Slaughter to him and nails him in the face several times with the pliers as Slaughter tries to cover up. Security runs down and tackles Python, who continues to struggle.
Reminder: next week's FNL will be two hours.
Electro vs. Trey Rison
Lights off/on. Even, high-flying match sees both take suicide dives into the third row at times. After Electro performs his, they brawl toward the stairs. Electro launches himself and spears Rison and rides Rison all the way down the stairs. Back in the ring, Electro works on Rison' back. Xtrix walks slowly to the ring. Rison nails a missile dropkick on Electro. Xtrix gets into the ring. Xtrix spinekicks Electro. Then kicks Electro several times. Rison pushes at Xtrix. They fight. Death Stalkers swarm in. Lights off. Lights on. Lair and Death Stalkers war! Electro and Xtrix fight. Union runs down and clears the ring. No contest.
Adrian Lucas vs. Nihilist
Lucas corners Nihilist and attacks him with punches and knees to the stomach. Lucas hits a powerbomb and goes for a cover, but Nihilist kicks out. Lucas rules for several minutes until Nihilist powerslams Lucas after catching him jumping from the top rope. Lucas is pounded. Nihilist works on Lucas's back and sets Lucas up in the corner. The Prowler slips out from under the ring and holds onto Lucas, causing Nihilist to fall to the mat hard. Lucas then nails the roadkiller and gets the pin.
Raider runs out and attacks Prowler. Lucas comes out and the three fight. Nihilist rolls out, gets a chair, and nails Lucas and Raider. He looks at Prowler and drops the chair. Announcers say they have just learned Serpent is here and has demanded time when we get back. They say Serpent is with Heat Seeker's wife. ''Come back and find out...what?''
We're back at the broadcast position. Mark Weight says Serpent will be out in seconds. I was just told that Serpent has demanded the time with Heat Seeker's wife because Heat has been involved in some type of accident. They don't want to speculate and kill time until...
Pray for him
Serpent walks out with a woman wearing an overcoat, sweater, jeans and boots. In the ring, Serpent:
''I'd like your attention. Heat Seeker was supposed to be here tonight, but, this is his wife, and she just got to the building minutes ago with some horrible news. Can you tell these people what you told me? The fans need to know this.''
The woman has tired blood-shot eyes. Her hand nervously trembling, takes the mic. ''Early this morning, my husband was on his way to this city, driving, and... we're not exactly sure what happened, but...''
She cries. Serpent comforts her.
''My husband was in a car accident. Police officers told me he flipped over three times as he got off the highway. They said he was lucky to be alive.''
Serpent takes the mic. ''Bottom line here, is that the man you know as Heat Seeker is as we speak laid up in the hospital with several bruises, but amazingly no broken bones. He did suffer a concussion and was in no shape to be here tonight. I'd just like to take a real moment here for you guys to pray for the guy and this lady right here."
Serpent and she bow their heads for a moment.
Serpent: "Thanks guys. I know you've been through a lot today and I appreciate you coming out here and telling everyone what's what."
They hug.
"Oh, one more thing. And you need to hear this. Me and your husband were scheduled for a match this Tuesday which, lucky for me, means I'm fucked. And it's just like that fuck to leave me in the fight of my life."
Announcers perk up at Serpent's mood swing.
"You know, it's amazing. Everyone always ends up fucking me. Your husband wasn't the first and won't be the last. It's just a shame you were stupid enough to think I'd have a heart about this you stupid cunt."
He hits her in the head with the mic! Serpent brainbusts her! He pulls out four pairs of handcuffs from his boot and drops them. He pulls off her jacket. He puts one pair of cuffs on her left arm, right arm, right leg and left leg. She is put into a corner and hand cuffed to the ropes. Serpent gets the mic:
"Hey Heat Seeker. Look at your whore now. Where hast my Romeo gone? Hey Heat, here's one for your archives. I want you to remember this one forever."
Serpent drops the mic and pulls out scissors from his boot. He cuts open her sweater and her pants. Announcers are screaming for help, but none comes as he rips open her bra and cuts off her panties. Edan LePage and Python run out from the back, followed by security.
Serpent evades them and is pursued out back. Zohar yells at Serpent: "You sick fuck, you're a dead man!"
Serpent gets out of the building. Hack Viciously runs out after him and punches out a window as Serpent drives away. Back in the ring, wrestlers and security cover up Heat Seeker's wife and are screaming to get her out of the handcuffs.
