Just Anutha' Victim (to quote a terrible announcer)
Menace 11
Jan. 26, 2004
Starring: Team EGO, Derecho and ...
Writer: Leary
Derecho pushed himself up, ready to inflict some major injury on Studd, who hopped up onto the apron.
Derecho unloaded with a right that knocked Studd off the apron.
That’s when he felt it...the it being impending trouble. He tried to turn around as he felt somebody closing in on him, but it was already too late. A championship belt was thrust into the side of his head, taking Derecho down to his knees in pain. Trey Vincent backed up a couple of steps and charged forward, driving the championship gold into Derecho’s face a second time.
Studd slid into the ring and both Vincent and Studd began stomping on Derecho. Derecho tried to push himself up and get into this fight, but the blindside by Vincent had given Team EGO the advantage in surprise. And the numbers were only growing in their favor. Studd and Vincent dragged a now busted open Derecho onto his feet.
'Derecho, this is as close as you’re ever going to get to this title. So when you get backstage and wash the blood away, take a picture of your FUCKING face in the mirror. Because the imprint of MY belt is as close as you’ll ever fucking get.'
With that, Vincent held the title belt right up to Derecho’s face and then wound up and smashed it into Derecho’s head a third time, really hoping he would leave an imprint of that title belt on Derecho’s face.
Vincent raised his arms, and of course title belt, high in the air in triumph, as a rain of paper cups, drinks and garbage was tossed into the ring. Vincent batted aside garbage as it was headed for his head. Studd slapped Davis back to consciousness as Vincent slid to the floor.
One chair.
Two chairs.
Vincent slid both of them into the ring. Davis, still a bit shaky, was good enough to stand on his own. He went right for Derecho, brutally kicking Derecho in the ribs twice. Vincent smiled and called for Davis. He tossed him one of the chairs. Vincent tossed the other chair to Studd.
TV put his belt on the canvas and headed for Derecho, picking him up. Team EGO was tuning up, ready to deliver a Con-Chair-To, the same move that nearly killed KaGe a couple weeks back. Vincent stepped back. Studd then wondered why in the hell Vincent suddenly bolted from the ring for the floor. Studd looked over to see Davis making a quick retreat.
The crowd cheered on as Studd turned around.
*CRACK*
Chair met chair met skull!
Swung by KAGE!
Studd was knocked the fuck out by that chair shot from hell. Vincent and Davis ran around the ring and each quickly grabbed hold of one of Studd’s legs, quickly pulling him to the floor. KaGe charged forward, swinging wildly for both of the other Team EGO members as the crowd continued to cheer for KaGe’s save.
KaGe cursed at Vincent and Davis, who were dragging Studd up the aisle to a safe enough distance. KaGe meanwhile stood before a bloody and beaten Derecho, wanting the Team EGO members to bring their asses back to the ring.
KaGe wanted payback.
But Team EGO didn’t want any part of KaGe tonight. Vincent flipped of KaGe as he crouched over his bro Studd, and KaGe responded with a double salute for Team EGO.
KaGe had saved Derecho. Team EGO had unintentionally brought these two men together. So far, Team EGO had used their numbers to their advantage. But it seemed, tonight, the rules had just changed right before their eyes.
