Bobby Minio vs. Trey Vincent

Menace 5
Dec. 8, 2003
Writer: John Leary

Trey Vincent'Untitled' by Finch hit and Bobby Minio stepped out to cheers from the crowd. He walked to the ring. Yep. Then 'My Own Summer (Shove It)' hit. Trey Vincent did the same thing as Minio but differently. Worst. Intro. Ever. And that's all your getting there.

The bell sounded. Minio and Vincent stared at each for a moment, but Vincent started walking, and the two men circled each other before locking into a collar and elbow dealie tieup. Minio wrapped his legs around Vincent's midsection and whipped him quickly to the mat.

Minio jumped to his feet while Vincent stared up at Minio, cocking an eyebrow in surprise. He mouthed a 'what the fuck was that?' at Minio before he pulled himself up using the ropes. Minio didn't bother to explain.

Vincent and Minio began circling each other again and headed for a tie up, but it was a double fake out, with both men landing a boot in each other's gut. Vincent punched Minio. Minio returned. And returned. And returned and returned, backing Vincent up against the ropes.

Minio whipped Vincent into the ropes and then turned around and sprung to the top rope. As Vincent came running back, Minio launched and hit a beautiful moonsault body press.

Minio slid off and couldn't keep the cover, but he likely wouldn't have gotten it this soon. Minio stomped Vincent in the side of the head and then locked him into a front chancery. Run to the ropes, run along the side of the ropes and push off the turnbuckle.

Stiff DDT.

Cover.

One.

Two.

Thre-NO! Vincent *just* kicked out of that one. He fiercely shook his head and rolled toward the ropes and out of the ring. He fell to a knee and stayed there. The referee began the 10-count, but Minio was ready on the opposite side of the ring.

As Vincent got back up, Minio charged, going for a dropkick between the middle and bottom rope, but Vincent moved and Minio slid over the rope, just barely being able to keep his balance. Vincent quickly grabbed Minio around the chest.

Cliffhanger on the floor!

The uranage slam just changed the momentum. Vincent laid down on the floor for a few seconds, still trying to shake off the DDT, but he again stood tall. Vincent turned Minio on his front. Then, using the apron, Vincent pushed himself up to land a stomp to Minio's upper back, around the neck area. And twice more.

Vincent turned Minio on his back and grabbed hold of both of his legs.

Catapult into the guardrail!

Good God!

Minio landed jaw first in a move that easily could have broken his jaw or knocked out a row of teeth. Minio collapsed to the floor, holding his aching mouth, and the referee broke the count to come check on him.

Vincent, meanwhile, went under the ring.

Black baseball bat.

The fans were booing the Sports Entertainment Icon badly now. Vincent smiled at the attention. He didn't move in on Minio with the bat, yet. Instead, he left it in one of the corners of the ring, as close to the post as he could get it without it rolling out.

Then Vincent pulled Minio up by the hair. Then up into position for an atomic drop, but instead, Vincent ran Minio crotch first into the steel post, getting a big groan out of the men in the crowd, and Minio as well, who fell to the mats below hard. He was taking a tremendous amount of punishment from Vincent, the master of dishing it out.

Vincent helped Minio get into the ring and quickly followed, hooking both of Minio's legs.

One.

Two.

Th-nope. Minio got the shoulder up in time.

Vincent looked at the referee, not really upset, just for the intimidation factor of the stare. Vincent pushed himself up and got into a crouch, sticking a middle finger up towards Minio, who was struggling to get up.

As Minio got up as straight as Vincent could hope for, he stuck that middle finger in Minio's face and prepared to hit the Shocking Conclusion.

The thing was, Minio didn't cooperate with Vincent's plans, instead grabbing hold of Vincent's jaw as he wrapped up Minio's jaw and jamming that arm straight down to the mat and holding on with an elevated arm bar.

Vincent screamed out in pain as Minio roared back in the hold. Vincent began scrambling for the closest rope, which luckily wasn't too far away. He was able to get there after about 20 seconds, forcing the hold to be broken.

Minio and Vincent both got to their feet, and Minio was looking to get back in control of the match. He ran to the ropes and charged at Vincent, surprising Vincent by hitting one of Vincent's own moves against him.

A Lou Thesz press, with the addition of a blatant choke hold. Vincent poked Minio in the eye to break the choke at the three count, turned Minio over, but kept his grip on him, lifting Minio up as Vincent got to his feet.

Short scrub-buster to the mat. But Vincent didn't let it stop there. He held onto Minio's legs and lifted him up and over his head into an inverted wheelbarrow suplex!

'Holy shit! Holy shit!' the crowd chanted at the stiff impact of Minio landing face-first on the mat. Vincent turned Minio over and hooked a leg.

One!

Two!

Thre-NO! Minio KICKED OUT! Not just a shoulder, a full kick out.

Vincent began raining down right handed punches into Minio's skull, trying to bust him open hardway. After the storm was over, Vincent dragged Minio to his feet. To Vincent's surprise, he was met with a boot to his midsection and Minio lifted Vincent up.

Minio Driver! Minio slammed Vincent between his legs, but with the bonus of driving Vincent's head hard into the mat, almost in a brainbuster. Minio dove on top of Vincent, but didn't hook a leg, instead opting to put all his weight on TV's shoulders.

ONE!

TWO!

THRE-NO! Somehow, Vincent powered out.

Minio crawled toward the ropes and slid under the bottom one. Using the ropes as a catapult, he hit a flipping legdrop, rocking Vincent. Minio hooked one of Vincent's legs and laid on his back across Vincent for the cover.

One.

Two!

THRE-NO! Right shoulder escape.

This time, Minio stood and waited on Vincent to get up, standing in a bit of a crouch. Once Vincent was up, he jumped onto him, wrapped his legs around his head, then spun around so they were both facing the same direction and dropped down into a victory roll.

ONE!

TWO!

THRE-NO! Last possible moment escape by Vincent.

Minio grabbed Vincent's right arm, and drove a few forearm shots into Vincent's elbow area. Vincent roared in pain as Minio wrenched the arm in an arm twister. Vincent swatted at Minio with his left hand, but he was off-target.

One armed scissors and takedown by Minio. The ref was in Vincent's face, asking for a submission.

He got a middle finger in his face, getting a minor comedy pop from the crowd. But Vincent was screaming in pain. The crowd clapped and cheered Minio on, hoping he'd rip the arm from Vincent's socket.

Vincent rolled backwards once, getting closer to the ropes. Minio looked at the short distance Vincent was away and decided to drop the hold. Minio pulled Vincent up by his wounded arm and ran towards the ropes.

Minio dove over the top rope and dragged Vincent's arm with him, hanging it over the top rope. Vincent recoiled in pain, clutching at his arm.

Minio grabbed the second rope and was about to get back in the ring when suddenly Osyrus appeared behind him. He grabbed Vincent's bat and

*SMACK*

Right into Minio's lower back. Minio collapsed into the ring and Osyrus quickly ducked down and dove under the ring. The fans were pissed at this development. The referee had been checking on Vincent when Osyrus snuck in and struck.

Vincent, using his good arm, pulled himself up and saw Minio facedown on the mat. So Vincent waited several seconds for Minio to stir, in what was no doubt a risky move. But he got up, struggling and grabbing at his back.

Eventually bored of waiting, Vincent approached Minio, spun him around--

SHOCKING CONCLUSION.

Vincent delivered and Minio slumped on his knee before tipping over, apparently completely out now.

That didn't mean the match was over. Though it could have been.

Instead, TV stood up and stood in front of Minio's head. He raises his right arm, but then quickly dropped it. Flipped off Minio.

Bounced off side a of the ring.

Then side b.

Side c.

And side d.

Big Time Fist Drop. And yes, it got a pop from the crowd because it is such a mark out move.

And then there was a cover.

One!

Two!

Three!

Roll credits.

Fade out.

Vincent got the victory over Minio, but not without a big hand from Osyrus.

Winner: Trey Vincent via pinfall
