The Price Is Right

Impulse 2.6 (never aired)
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

As the cameras returned to the LCW Evo ring, some fans began to boo as a figure emerged and headed toward the ring. They remembered this man who had appeared in the very same ring two shows earlier and had verbally trashed the promotion and its fans.

The man was Trey Vincent, the self-proclaimed Sports Entertainment Icon. Dressed in a black T-shirt with a red and white iAd logo on the front, he slowly walked to the ring and climbed the steps, soaking up the attention from the crowd. And of course, he found his face on the LCW monitors and smiled big before grabbing a live microphone and heading into the ring.

"Greetings to all the TV viewers in the house tonight," he said with a smirk. "Hey, do you guys remember me?"

The crowd greeted him with louder boos.

"Good. OK then. I'm here tonight because even though none of you people here mean a damn thing to Trey Vincent, and this promotion can lick my nuts, there is a reason why Trey Vincent came here. Though all of you best know Trey Vincent as the Sports Entertainment Icon, there is a side of me a lot of you seem to forget about. While I may be good hurting people IN the ring, I'm even better at it outside of the sports entertainment ring. But now, I actually get the pleasure of combining my two passions."

Vincent paused and pulled a cigar out of a pocket from his black pants. He then patted his legs and then up his stomach and to his chest, in search of a lighter, but apparently didn't have one.

"If only I had a light this moment would be perfect."

A fan then obliged, chucking a metal lighter at his head, getting a rise out of the crowd. Vincent backed up on impact and looked at the fan who had thrown the object. Security headed over to the fan and dragged him out as the fans booed. Vincent scooped up the lighter.

"Oh yeah," he said lighting up the cigar. "It's time to play a little game. We're gonna call this portion of LCW Evo, "The Price Is Right." So, T.R. Saxton, come on down, it's time for the showcase showdown!

As Vincent took a few puffs off his cigar and patiently stared at the entryway, Saxton's music hit. He headed to the ring.

"Hey there legend," Vincent said, taking his cigar into his right hand. "First off, let's get things straight between us. You don't have me to blame for being here looking you dead in your eye right now....that honor belongs to...a guy named Eddie Olmstead."

Saxton got a puzzled look on his face for a moment. Just a flinch really. Almost unnoticable unless you looked closely.

"You see, this place couldn't afford to bring me on as its star attraction, its main eventer, its franchise player, its icon," Vincent said, pausing to enjoy his cigar once again. "But he could afford to hire me for, well, my other job. And in case you don't know, Trey Vincent is the owner of one of the fastest growing private investigation companies on the planet. Trey Vincent Private Investigation Services Inc. TVPISI. I've only had once case I couldn't solve thus far. The case of T.R. Saxton's missing talent."

Saxton charged forward but Vincent evaded. "WHOAWHOAWHOA. OK. Perhaps that was a cheap shot," he said still trying to keep a safe distance. "But I'm Trey Vincent. The man who pisses on tradition. But fine, let's get to the point of why I'm here. Olmstead has been suspicious of you from day one. So who better to see just what's been going on in the mind of yours. And well....with the people in this business, most of their minds are connected to their bank accounts."

Saxton was all ears now and wanted to know what Vincent was getting at.

"So why was RT Suxton in Evo?"

Saxton moved after him again.

"Fine. That's the last shot," he said as the violent lunge proved unsuccessful. "After a great deal of digging for which your boss paid, helping me buy a new sound system for my big screen television....I found something on you. Well, I found PLENTY about you, but to be more specific, I found what Eddie was looking for."

Puffing on his cigar once again, Vincent looked around at the crowd, which was interested in seeing what secret Saxton was hiding.

"Man, is it getting hot in here, or is it just me?," Vincent said with a smile before pausing. "Hey T.R., why don't you go check the mercury. Or should that be, LCW Mercury? Because, lord knows, you must owe them something for all the money that their owner Dave Beaumont deposited into your account."

Vincent shifted his cigar to his mouth and pulled out folded up papers from the waistband of his pants.

"Dated mere weeks ago," Vincent said.

Vincent held out the paper to Saxton, which he snatched away.

"Go ahead. I sure as hell don't need it anymore. You know what else you're going to find there? And since all you viewers can't see it. This man who stands before you today....your legend....is a LIAR. Because, as those bank records clearly show, not only is T.R. Saxton getting paid by LCW Mercury, and has been employed by them all this time...."

Vincent waited for the boos to die down a bit before continuing.

"Not only is he an employee of LCW Mercury. But the topper? You got the balls to tell them? Or should I let them know that you never went bankrupt. Any idiot could see that it was just part of some cover story you cooked up with Beaumont so the two of you could conspire against and infiltrate LCW Evo!"

The fans were irate. At this time, Edward Olmstead appeared and headed down to the ring. Saxton stopped looking down at the paper he held in his hands and saw security coming. His eyes then shifted to Vincent, eyes filled with rage, and charged at him. Security swarmed the ring as Vincent backflipped over the top rope, just inches away from the charging Saxton. As Saxton hit the ropes in full run, Vincent hit the floor and headed towards the rushing security guards. Saxton continued in pursuit of Vincent on the floor, but a sea of bodies separated the two men.

Vincent waved at Saxton mockingly and then shook his fist at him in an equally mocking manner, further enraging Saxton. Vincent then spotted Olmstead and ran over to him. The two men shook hands and exchanged some words before Vincent turned around, no doubt heading for the nearest exit.
