Lance Knight vs. "Fueled By Ignorance" Chris Titan

jOlt Intense 36

As Static Xs Get to the Gone filled the arena, Chris Titan walked to the ring, accompanied by a mixture of cheers and boos from the fans, who were still uncertain as to where the former Fueled by Ignorance members allegiances lay. Titan rolled into the ring and moved to his corner, where he pulled on the top ropes and stretched out his muscles for his match-up this evening. As he turned to look at the jOltron, Paybacks Flaw blared through the PA, and the receptive fans greeted Lance Knight, fresh off of his first match, and first win, here in jOlt. Knight made his way to ringside and then stepped between the middle and top ropes before nodding his head to Titan, who stood solemnly across the ring.

The two men met in mid-ring, where they quickly joined in a traditional collar-and-elbow tie-up. Titan used his slight size advantage to take control of the situation, pulling Knight into an Irish whip. As Knight rebounded off of the ropes, Titan deftly side-stepped his foe and locked in a sleeper hold, stopping Knight dead in his tracks and then cinching the hold in tighter once Knight had stopped moving completely.

Knight, desperate to free himself before Titan could gain too much of an advantage, sat down, trying to pull Titan into a jawbreaker; however, due to the closeness in height, the impact of the move was minimal, and it allowed Titan to shrug off the glancing blow and keep the hold locked in. This led to Knight pulling his head forward as much as he could and then rearing back with a headbutt, but again, the move was entirely ineffective, as Titans hold on his head and neck prevented Knight from getting any kind of solid force behind the move.

Knight, more frantic than ever, used his legs to slide across the mat before draping his right foot across the bottom rope. Titan broke the hold cleanly, but as soon as Knight got to his feet, the former jOlt tag team champion was ready, nailing the newcomer with a flurry of right hands that staggered the Pittsburgh native and left him ripe for another Irish whip. This time, however, Titan ducked his head and committed to a back body drop too early, and this allowed Knight to plant his size 13 boot right into Titans chest, which stood Titan right up and left him open for Knight to capitalize with an exploder suplex. Knight, reacting off of a sudden adrenaline rush, quickly turned and covered Titan, but the veteran was able to escape just after the one-count.

Both men quickly regained their feet, and Titan took control once more, nailing Knight in the stomach with a kick and then quickly piledriving him hard to the mat. Seeing an opportunity, Titan quickly ascended the nearest turnbuckle, and, as Knight got back to his feet, Titan leapt from the top rope and through the air with a cross body block. However, he was quickly surprised to find himself captive in Knights arms, as the newcomer had regained his senses in time to snare Titan out of the air. Titan wasnt held for long, though, as Knight quickly arched backwards and threw his arms upwards, sending Titan sprawling to the mat with a blockbuster suplex, more commonly known as a fallaway slam.

As this point, the music that had been haunting Knight all week long filled the arena once more, and the Sports Entertainment Icon, Trey Vincent, appeared at the top of the ramp.

"You call that sports entertainment?" Vincent called out, his words filling the arena as he bellowed into a house mic.

In the ring, Knight shook his head, clearly angered. However, his focus wasnt completely rattled, as he turned and pulled the now-standing Titan into an Irish whip. As Titan returned from the ropes, Knight prepared for the watermill suplex that he called Knightfall, a move that would surely end the match and give him his second victory in jOlt.

"Hold it right there! I've come to save this segment from complete disaster, as I can tell that you fans were sick to death of watching these two stumble through a no-star match!"

Knight turned his head for a moment, letting his anger get the best of him, and this allowed Titan to capitalize. He pulled the unsuspecting Knight into a front chancery even as he swung his feet out, with the end result being a beautiful swinging DDT. Titan capitalizes, quickly going for the cover, but Knight is able to kick out after two.

"So Lance, you do understand, this is MY world, don't you? I can do whatever I want, whenever I want."

Now Titan stands up and casts a glance at Vincent, starting to get annoyed by the Franchise Players seemingly endless rhetoric. By this point, Vincent has made his way down the ramp, and he stands at ringside, no more than ten feet from where Titan and Knight are working their match. Titan quickly decides that Vincent isnt worth his time, choosing instead to pull Knight up. Knight stands, still dazed from the impact of the DDT, and this allows Titan to charge to the far ropes.

"Lance, seeing you right now, it brings one question to my mind: who did you screw to get this job?"

This seemed to startle Knight out of his daze, and he caught the running Titan in mid-clothesline, twisting his body and falling to the mat. As they hit, Knight rolled Titan onto his back and quickly applied a crucifix armbar.

"Where did you learn how to wrestle, Lance? Watching Tough Enough?"

Vincent's comment seems to only enrage Knight, and unfortunately for Register, he receives the brunt of Knights anger, as the rookie laces his legs around Titans head, thereby applying a stranglehold.

"My farts are more entertaining than you, you pathetic excuse for a sports entertainer."

And with that, Vincent's tactics succeeded. Knight immediately broke his hold on Titan, mere seconds before Titan appeared ready to fall into unconsciousness. Knight stood and turned to face Vincent, who continued his verbal barrage.

"If you keep sports entertaining like this, you're gonna hurt somebody. Most likely, all my fans eyes!"

And Knight could take no more.

He stepped through the ropes and leapt to the apron floor, landing mere inches from Trey Vincent, who never paused before bringing back the microphone that he held in his hand and then swinging it forward in an attempt to bludgeon Knight. Knight ducks and tackles Vincent, raining down on the Sports Entertainment Icons head with vicious lefts and rights.

In the ring, Titan got back to his feet, only to have his hand raised by the official as a result of a count-out. While he didnt seem overly pleased with the outcome, Titan did smile and allow the referee to raise his hand, while on the outside, Vincent managed to roll on top of Knight.

Rather than going on the offensive; however, Vincent got to his feet and charged up the ramp, attempting to get backstage before Knight could catch up to him. In spite of having just wrestled a match, Knights less restrictive wrestling attire allowed him to catch Vincent just as he reached the curtain to head backstage. He spun Vincent around and drove a boot into TVs stomach.

Knight paused, clearly considering his options, but he then hooked Vincent in an inverted crucifix position and then fell backwards, driving Treys head into the cold steel of the entrance ramp with a modified version of the Knightfall.

Knight got to his feet, looking displeased, almost as if his own actions had done him in instead of Vincent, but he then turned and walked backstage. Seconds later, Titan also walked by, but he seemed more intrigued by the whole situation and pleased with his win than anything else, and as he returned backstage, the few fans that could see his face could see him apparently whistling.
