Trey Vincent vs. Prototype (European Championship Match)

"EWS Sunday Night Bedlam"
Sept. 2, 2001

Rob: Welcome back fans, its time for another match here tonight.

Randy: Really.

Rob: Yes, Randy, really.

Randy: I was being sarcastic.

Rob: So was I. Anyways, this match is our first of two title matches.

Randy: Is this the European one or the Extreme one?

Rob: This is Prototype against Trey Vincent for the European Title.

Randy: Oh right. Fun.

Rob: Both of these two competitors have the ability to go far here in the EWS.

Randy: Uh huh.

Rob: Who knows, maybe one day we could be seeing these two going at it for the World Title someday.

Randy: Don't get too ahead of yourself now Rob.

Rob: Well lets just see how they both fair tonight when the European Title is on the line.

Randy: Goodie.

(Jessica Lauvant walks her way into the ring from her place at ringside and stands in the middle of the ring. She puts the microphone to her lips and begins to talk.)

Jessica: It is time for our next match of the evening. This match is scheduled for One Fall and is for the EWS European Title. Introducing first, from San Diego, CA, he stands at 6-7 and weighs 250lbs, he is the current European Champion The Prototype.

(The lights go out and "Nookie" by Limp Bizket hits the PA. White strobe lights begin to flash. Once the music begins to get louder, colored lights begin to flash and sparks fly at the top of the ramp. The Prototype walks behind them, accompianied by a lovely model. He walks down the ramp to a huge ovation and helps his model into the ring. He goes into the middle of the ring and flexes for the crowd. The model runs up to him and gives him a huge kiss... leading to him ripping off his wife beater. He goes into the corner and awaits his opponent.)

Rob: There's the current champion, looking ready for his title defense.

Randy: Well dur, if he wasn't ready he wouldn't be out here would he.

Rob: Randy, just go back to being quiet again. It's the only thing you're good for.

Randy: Don't tell me to be quiet. Ill say whatever I feel like.

Jessica: Now introducing his opponent, he hails from Minneapolis, MN, standing at 6-4 and weighing 260lbs..he is the challeger?.Trey Vincent.

("All Hail The New Flesh," by Strapping Young Lad kicks in. After a series of rapid fire explosions, Trey emerges from the back and walks quickly to the ring, looking in every direction as if checking out the area around him, suspicious someone is trying to get him. He keeps looking around as he walks down the entranceway and climbs up into the ring. He runs towards Prototype and hits him with a clothesline.)

Randy: Yeah, go on Trey Vincent.

Rob: The bell hasn't even been rung yet and the action is already underway here.

Randy: Trey didn't want to have to wait any longer to get his hands on Prototype.

Rob: He should have waited till the bell.

(The bell rings as Jessica exits from the ring. Trey starts stomping down at Prototype as he tries to get back up, preventing him getting up to his feet. Prototype still keeps on trying though and eventually manages to get up while Trey still continues to kick him. Prototype catches Trey's leg and holds it. Trey jumps up and hits an enzurgi to the side of Prototype's face.)

Rob: Hard Enzurgi from Vincent there.

Randy: Come on Trey.

Rob: You're actually cheering him?

Randy: Yeah man. Trey rules.

(Trey climbs down onto Prototype and launches into a rapid firing of punches to his face. Prototype tries to escape out as Trey's fists continue to rain down to his face. Trey still keeps the punches coming eventually stopping and rolling off of Prototype, only to start to stomp him down once more.)

Randy: Yeah, kick him, hurt him.

Rob: Dude, calm down.

Randy: Don't need to. This is great, go on Trey.

Rob: You are really strange Randy.

Randy: Huh.

(The kicks still continue on to Prototypes body, Prototype rolls himself out of the ring and gets to his feet. Trey walks after him and reaches over the ropes, trying to grab Prototype's hair. Prototype reaches his hands forward and trips Trey, he falls back and drops down as Prototype starts to drag him out of the ring.)

Rob: This is being taken to the outside here now.

Randy: Yeah, come on, we want steel chairs and tables.

Rob: Dude, this isn't an extreme match.

Randy: Dammit.

(Prototype pulls Trey down and out of the ring. He starts to hit right and left hands to Trey's face. He keeps Trey pressed up against the side of the ring, stopping the punches into them and turning them into chops. The sound of his hand chopping against Trey's chest echoing around the arena, the fans cheering at every chop made.)

Randy: Pah, boring. Come on Trey.

Rob: Prototype taking control of the match here right now.

Randy: Doesn't matter, Trey will kick his ass.

(The chops continue to hit across Trey's chest before Prototype pulls Trey off from against the side of the ring apron. He hits a right hand and whips Trey towards the guardrail. Trey reverses it and instead whips Prototype hard into the steel ring steps. His back smashing against them.)

Rob: He just whipped him into the steel stairs.

Randy: Yeah, go on. Hurt him more.

Rob: Calm down man.

(Trey runs towards the laying Prototype and drives his knee into Prototypes face before dragging him back up to his feet and rolling him into the ring. Trey taunts the crowd for a few moments and climbs back up onto the apron and into the ring. He climbs up onto the top turnbuckle and jumps down, planting an elbow drop onto Prototype and going for the pin.)

Rob: Huge elbow drop from Trey there.

Randy: That's it.

Referee: One?..Tw

(Prototype kicks out.)

Rob: Only a Two count there.

Randy: Damn Prototype, just stay down.

(Trey gets up and moans at the referee, Prototype starts to pull himself up to his feet and walks towards Trey. Grabbing him from behind and hitting him with a German Suplex. He keeps his hands held around Trey's waist and lifts him up once more, hitting him with another German Suplex, this time, bridging himself up into a pin.)

Referee: One?..Two

(Trey manages to kick out.)

Rob: Prototype gets a two count.

Randy: It's gonna take more then that to keep Trey down.

Rob: Well you never know, anything is always worthy of a try.

(Prototype releases his grip around Trey and they both get back up to their feet. Prototype stands and waits as Trey makes his way up to his feet, only to receive a Belly to Belly Suplex that takes him back down onto the ring floor. Prototype takes a step back and bounces himself off the ropes, hitting a legdrop across Vincent's neck.)

Rob: Prototype in control here now.

Randy: Come on Trey, you can do it.

(Trey clutches at his neck as Prototype pulls him back up to his feet once more. Prototype places Trey between his legs and lifts him up into a powerbomb, driving him down hard onto the ring mat below. Prototype quickly drops himself down onto Trey and hooks the legs in an pinning attempt once more.)

Rob: Powerbomb from Prototype, could that be enough.

Randy: No, don't give up Trey. Kick out.

Referee: One...Two...

(Trey manages to kickout of the pin.)

Rob: Ohhh, soooo close there from Prototype.

Randy: YEAHH, GO TREY.

Rob: It was only a few moments away from this match being ended.

Randy: But Trey kicked out.

(Prototype bangs his fists down on the floor and drags Trey up to his feet once more. Trey hits him with a low blow and follows it up with a quick DDT. He gets himself up to his feet and pulls Prototype up with him. He locks him into a Full Nelson and then lifts him up, turning it into a Full Nelson Suplex.)

Rob: Sneaky move from Trey to get back in this one there.

Randy: Big deal, sneaky moves are allowed.

Rob: No they are not.

Randy: Well the referee hasn't done anything about it so it must have been allowed.

Rob: That's because the referee didn't see it.

Randy: Same thing.

(Trey continues to make his fight back in the match. He stands up and bounces himself off the ropes, driving a Big Time Fist to the throat of Prototype as he falls down. He rolls back onto Prototype and goes for a pin.)

Referee: One?..Two

(Prototype kicks out.)

Randy: Dammit, just stay down.

Rob: Prototype still has some fight left in him.

(Trey stands up and drags Prototype up to his feet once more. He smashes a few elbows across Prototype's upper back, sending Prototype down to one knee. He hits one more and takes Prototype right down to the floor. He hits a leg drop across the back of Prototype's head.)

Rob: Trey has really taken control of things here now.

Randy: Yeah. This is great. Come on Trey.

(Prototype gets rolled over as Trey climbs back onto him once more and goes for another pin.)

Randy: Just stay the hell down this time Prototype, it's for your own good.

Rob: This could be enough.

Referee: One...Two...

(Prototype kicks out once more.)

Randy: DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT

Rob: Doesn't seem like Prototype wants to lose his title here.

Randy: He will, he cant keep on kicking out.

(Vincent gets up and immediately starts to moan at the referee once more, yelling at him. He turns back around and starts to stomp Prototype again. Prototype lays as the boots keep getting put in before Trey stops and leans over to drag Prototype up once more. He sets Prototype up for his finisher and signals to the crowd.)

Randy: HIT HIM WITH IT, FINISH HIM OFF!!!

Rob: Will that be enough to finish off Prototype though.

(Trey goes to lift Prototype up, only for Prototype to hit a quick succession of punches that enables him to shake himself free. Prototype places Trey between his legs and lifts him up into his own finisher, The Perfector and drives him down face first onto the mat.)

Randy: NOOOOOOOOOO

Rob: Prototype just escaped from Coming Down and hit his own finisher on Trey.

(Prototype rolls himself across and rests a hand on Trey.)

Referee: One?..Two?..Thr

(Trey manages to get a leg onto the ropes.)

Rob: That must have been a two and three quarter count there.

Randy: Come on Trey, get up, get up.

(Both men just lay on the ring floor for a few moments before starting to show signs of life once more. Prototype getting himself up as does Trey. They both begin to throw rights and lefts to each other, neither man able to gain the advantage. Prototype staggers back as Trey hits him with a few more punches. Trey goes for a superkick but Prototype ducks it and responds with a hard kick of his own to the back of Trey's head that sends him crashing down.)

Rob: Superkick from Prototype and he could have just knocked Trey out cold there.

Randy: NO, DAMMIT, NO!!!

(Prototype drops down and rolls Trey over. He hooks the legs and keeps his arms pinned down.)

Referee: One...Two...Three

(DING DING DING.)

Rob: Prototype has done it, he retained his title.

Randy: No, No, No.

Rob: That was one of the greatest matches I have seen for quite some time here.

Randy: I don?t care Prototype will lose that next week at Cold Day In Hell.

Rob: Well you never know.

Randy: No, I do know actually.

Rob: Well fans time for another break.

Comments:

Not to be overly cocky here, but if anyone were to compare my promos with Prototype's rants about how gay I was...all I can say is ugh. But whatever. All wrongs are eventually righted. Though I didn't like the outcome, the match quality was the highest the fed had ever seen. Great drama and back and forth action, very fitting.
