Chasing Shadows 3

Pressure Point 73
Aug. 25, 2003
Starring Sharc

Backstage, an emotionally-exhausted Sharc was no longer in the mood to chase shadows. He wanted to chase the owner of the company and beat him bloody. Beat him until Young said he would fire Trey Vincent and never let him back in Action. Or, well, just beat him for the fun of it. As long as there was a bloody beating involved. The rage inside was immense.

Young wasn't in his office. Or in the hallways. But a helpful member of the roster had seen him heading toward an exit. Sharc pushed open a metal exit door and looked around the parking lot. It didn't seem as though Young was around. But there were plenty of hiding spots. There were so many cars. It'd be damn near impossible to find him.

Then, the camera went down. Most likely along with the cameraman. The sound of body thudding against building was heard, before a cracking as the camera hit the pavement. With the camera on its side, it found two sets of feet.

One was Sharc's. The other? Could have been anybody, but most likely not Trey Vincent or Reed Young. Sharc fell face-first to the ground. A hand came down and picked him up by the hair. The two sets of feet walked straight ahead toward a car.

Sharc went between the man's legs and then was lifted up for the elevated powerbomb onto the hood of a car!

Ah yes, a mysterious attacker. And the mystery man had one last trick up his sleeve. And that would be slamming Sharc through the driver-side window. The mysterious attacker simply walked away. The cameraman got to his feet and came closer to see the mess that had been made of Sharc's face. It was caked in blood. He lay in a puddle of blood and broken glass.

This was the price you were bound to pay when there is a bounty on your head. If Sharc didn't make it to his match, or, more specifically, make it to a the part of the gauntlet match involving Reed Young, well, there was money to be had.

No place was going to be safe for Sharc. This could just be the tip of what he may see.
