Welcome

Pressure Point 53
March 17, 2003
Starring Sharc, Bait & Kayden Paulton

Backstage, Sharc and Bait were returning to the building, just a tad late as the show had already begun. Those two were known by everyone in the back never to be late. Except for tonight, as neither one of them looked to be in a good mood. There were very noticeable black streaks on Sharc’s hands as well.

The duo headed down a hallway, leading to the room where they earlier had checked in and left their bags. But as they opened the door and looked inside, they were sure this was not the locker room they had been in before. They both stood there, dumbfounded for a few seconds, before heading inside and Sharc’s worst fears were made known.

This was their room.

It just had a few additions made since they left.

The main things of note were a ridiculous amount of flowers, red balloons and several presents.. Not to mention a big banner hung up on the wall straight ahead of the door that read “WELCOME SHARC!”.

Sharc and Bait just stared at the redecoration, Sharc more in horror than Bait, since she was a woman and liked this sort of stuff. As a matter of fact, she went up and started smelling the flowers.

“What the hell are you doing?” Sharc asked. “Isn’t it obvious what’s going on here?”

“Yes.” She said. “VERY obvious,” she stated, pointing at him, or, more specifically, at someone behind him.

Sharc turned around.

“HELLO MY FRIEND!” Kayden Paulton greeted. “How you doing, Sharc?” He said, handing him a new bouquet of roses. So that made about ten bouquets in the room.

Sharc saw a card in this one too, and lord knows why, but he threw the flowers over his head (which Bait caught) and ripped open the small envelope pulling out the card.

It read: “Roses are red, violets are blue, to Action, Sharc, I welcome you. =:)”.

That got a nice comedy pop from the Crowd... but Sharc looked up from the card and ripped it in half, turning the cheers to boos.

“Don’t think I don’t know what you’re doing.” Sharc said. “Looking at Bait’s breasts last week. Sending her all these flowers this week. Not to mention slashing a tire on my rental car to make me look like an idiot.”

“Now, Sharc.” Kayden started, but was cut off by him again.

“You want her because you think she will help you get over in front of the Crowd. You want her to save your pathetic career here in Action so far and make it mean something. Well, not at my expense. She is mine and I am hers. So give it up.”

That was when Sharc headed for all the stuff in the room.

“So take your flowers...” He said throwing a bouquet at Kayden. “Take your balloons...” He said, trying to throw one at Kayden, but, well, it just kind of went to the ceiling due to that whole helium thing, making Sharc VERY upset. Once he saw that and the Crowd began to laugh, Sharc picked up all the stacked presents and threw them at Kayden. “AND GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!”

“Well.” Kayden decided. “Since you asked nicely, I’ll see you around. Bye, Sharc and Bait! Enjoy your stay in Action!”

A bouquet of flowers hit Kayden in the back of his head as he left.
