Sharc vs. "Impulse" Brian James
Pressure Point 67
July 14, 2003
"Bohemian Rhapsody hit. A mixture of boos and cheers followed for "Impulse" Brian James, an established wrestling star still a bit new to Action. He looked around at the crowd and headed down the aisle, ready to wage war.
His opponent's music hit. "Dirty" by Korn. The different music surprised fans, as Sharc stepped out from backstage. He was wearing a Wrestling 101 T-shirt. There was, as usual, a mix of boos and cheers for Sharc. He was a man straddling the line between heel and face now, last feuding as the face with Fiend, but previously being all-out heel.
But what was up with the 101 T-shirt. He walked out alone, no Bait with him, and slid under the bottom rope. He looked up at IBJ from his knees for a second before pulling himself up backward, using the ropes, ala Diamond Dallas Page back in the day.
As the music died down, both men stood, ready for battle. The bell sounded.
IB J moved forward. Sharc didn't move. Instead he took of his 101 shirt and threw it in James' face.
Sharc had another black shirt beneath that shirt.
PIW in red letters.
The three letters got a surprisingly good pop from the crowd. PIW had gotten pretty good in the U.S. and Canada in the company's three incarnations.
But why that shirt?
Brian James held the shirt in his hand, confused at this action by Sharc. James' tossed the shirt out of the ring and yelled for Sharc to wrestle already, stop with the stupidity.
Sharc's response. Two middle fingers.
Sharc dropped to the mat and rolled under the bottom rope. Now getting a strange reaction from most. He began walking backward up the aisle, keeping his eyes locked with James' for several seconds before turning his back on him and walking out of the match.
Not one move was done in the match. Sharc was counted out. And "Impulse" Brian James got the victory. If it could even be called that.
And the fans were left to wonder what the hell they just saw.
