"That fucker has to pay. You understand me?"

"I do," Sharc said softly, though just enough to be heard. He was talking to Lowlife, who last week as a guest of Sharc's, had to see one of their friends carried out, bleeding from a stab wound. Sharc and Lowlife were sitting in Sharc's room, Bait beside Sharc with her arm around his waist.

"This is my home. I grew up in New England, kicking ass."

"One more to go," Sharc said. "Tonight, I become Carnage Champion. Tonight you become the man who destroyed Fiend's career. Lights Out."

"Lights Out," Lowlife repeated, with a smile. "I'll see if I'm in the mood to save anything for you."
