Sharc vs. Fiend vs. Kayden Paulton
Juggernaut II
May 25, 2003
The wrestling portion of Juggernaut II was ready to begin. "Come To Daddy" began playing, bringing the New Yorkers to their feet, though not necessarily in cheers. It was time for the triple threat match, and out stepped the first participant.
Fiend.
The 6-foot-3, 255 pound man paused at the top of the ramp with a determined look on his face. He bouncing his head from one shoulder to the other before walking to the ring. Once on the apron, he stared at the fans in the sold-out arena before cracking his knuckles and getting into the ring.
Ump: With what these three have been doing to each other in the last few weeks, I would expect nothing but an amazing effort by Sharc, Paulton and Fiend in this contest.
Shaw: It's too bad they all made it to this thing. We could have made the night just a tad bit shorter.
Ump: I thought size was everything.
Shaw: _
Ump: This night is going to be huge.
Shaw: Yeah, well_.
But before Shaw could make up for his 'little' verbal mistake, the fans exploded in cheers for one of the most likable people in this business: Kayden Paulton.
"96 Quite Bitter Beings" hit and out came Kayden Paulton, the big first-face pop of the night. But he has earned it in his Action career. This night could get no bigger for him. Win, lose, draw, count-out, DQ, whatever. He was at Juggernaut II! And in his face, you could see it. He nearly bounced down to the ring, slapping some lucky fans hands as he went.
While his song was "96 Quite Bigger Beings," Paulton, the 6-foot-4, 266 pounder, was about to meet two bitter beings in this match. One of them was already in the ring, and Fiend snarled as Paulton waved at him and yelled a "Hi Fiend!" Fiend was just waiting for him to get into the ring so he could beat on him.
And that's just what happened.
Ump: Fiend is going right after Paulton, dragging him over the top rope by his neck and slamming him hard to the mat.
Fiend: Fiend, I could have gotten in myself, but thanks!
Shaw: That kid just doesn't no when to shut up, does he?
Ump: Fiend drags Paulton to the corner.
Paulton: WHEEEE!
Shaw: *Sigh* That kid is WAY to happy to be in this match. And now he's getting stomped down. And I bet he's enjoying THAT too.
Ump: The bell hasn't yet sounded because the third man hasn't been introduced yet.
Then it hit. "Disciple." The fans looked toward the entryway, as the lights went blood red. That didn't stop Fiend from whipping Paulton into the opposite corner and following it up with a running clothesline into a shoulder rack to modified backbreaker.
That's when Sharc stepped out, holding his barbed wire 2x4, and followed closely by his valet, Bait. He didn't rush at all going to the ring, simply looking at the scene as Fiend waited on Sharc, while Paulton began to push himself up.
Sharc, at 6-2, 245 pounds, was smaller than both of his opponents. But the one thing he didn't have was fear, which is why he charged straight into the ring, not even dropping his weapon, and being greeted by several stomps to the back of his head.
Ump: Fiend is dominating here early, now picking up Sharc. And the bell sounds now that both men are in the ring.
Shaw: Well, not for long.
Ump: Oh hell. Fiend has Sharc up for a Gorilla press slam! He looks like he's ready to do some Sharc tossing, out to the floor!
Shaw: He better not be looking at OUR table!
Ump: Or the French table.
French announcer: Ce grand idiot meilleur de ne pas le jeter ici! Cette table est réservée une rupture plus tard! Fiend est stupide.
Ump: Thank God we don't have to speak French.
Shaw: Thank god we don't have to BE French. Idiots. Now he's eyeing the Spanish table?
Spanish announcer: ¡Láncelo en las ranas! ¡Déjenos solos! ¡Apoyamos la guerra con Iraq! ¡Honesto!
Shaw: God bless Babelfish. Let me see what those foreigners said. Oh no! Damn AOL!
Ump: There IS a match going on.
Shaw: If I ever try to buy a Mac again, kill me.
Ump: Fiend finally dumps Sharc in the ring. But only because Kayden just clipped Fiend's knee from behind. But Fiend is back up. Oh! Nice superkick by Paulton. There's the cover. One, two, Sharc with a leg drop on the back of Paulton's head. Sharc picks up Paulton and shoves him into the corner face-first.
Shaw: If Kayden could speak, he'd probably thank Sharc for this one.
Ump: Sharc jams his shoulder into Paulton's lower back. Oh, how brutal. And again, and again.
Shaw: Here comes Fiend.
Ump: Sharc turns around and swings, but Fiend blocks. Fiend swings but Sharc blocks it. Both men are locked up. Vicious head butt by Fiend. Fiend with an underhook belly to belly suplex. And a cover. One, kickout before two.
Shaw: That was Kayden Paulton's Repetition of History Move, pretty much. And he did it bunches better.
Ump: In your mind. Paulton is up and bulldogs Fiend from behind. He makes the cover. He gets just barely a two there. Paulton puts Sharc into a headlock. Fiend gets up again, and Paulton gets his feet around his head. Wow! Nice move there by Paulton, taking both men down, and Paulton hangs onto Sharc in the headlock.
Shaw: Why would the ref bother checking on Sharc, he hasn't quit once in his career. Pinned, plenty of times, but he has never submitted. A headlock isn't going to do sh--
Ump: Sharc is fighting his way up. And he counters with a simple belly to back suplex. Paulton hung on!
Shaw: He did? How did he do that?
Ump: I don't know, but here comes Fiend. Good lord, Paulton just tripped him. Fiend's throat went right onto the middle rope there, and now he's gasping for some breath.
Paulton: Ooops! Sorry, Fiend. Didn't see you there.
Shaw: That was unintentional?
Ump: Sharc's fought his way up again. He's got him up for another belly to back suplex. NO! Oh now, he just crotched Paulton on the top rope! Sharc grabs Fiend and rams Fiend's head into Paulton's. Paulton topples to the apron and down to the floor.
Shaw: A meeting of the mindless, right there.
Ump: Sharc hits a Russian leg sweep on a dazed Fiend and goes for the cover. Fiend gets a shoulder up just as the two comes down. Now Sharc tosses Fiend to the floor in frustration. All three fighters are on the floor, while Sharc is up.
Shaw: The ref better not count these guys out if he doesn't want a riot on his hands. A count out in the first match? Think about it.
Ump: Sharc has Paulton up. Oh no. NO! He just crotched Paulton into the steel post. And he follows that up with a reverse DDT to the floor.
Shaw: He's in his element on the floor. Anywhere but IN the ring, it seems.
Ump: Fiend is up and Sharc ducks a clothesline. Sharc with a blatant kick to the crotch. DDT on Fiend on the floor.
Shaw: Hey, look, Bait just went into the ring. Well, she just broke up the referee's count there. Bait has him backed up into the corner. And her back is to him. What the?
Ump: That's getting a nice pop from the crowd.
Shaw: And no doubt from the referee!
Ump: How do you call this?
Shaw: Umm, Bait is pretending to give him a standing up lap dance?
Ump: You called it. Meanwhile, Sharc has retrieved his barbed wire board and is now choking Fiend with the wood. I don't expect Sharc to wait too long to bleed Fiend with the wire.
Paulton: Sharc_you really shouldn't choke him.
Ump: Sharc just dropped Fiend. Sharc charges Paulton, backdrop! Paulton goes for the barbed wire board. Don't tell me he's going to use it on Sharc.
Shaw: Bait just came out to the floor with the referee. Bait yanks the board from his grip. She swings at Paulton. He ducks!
Ump: Bait just hit Sharc the top of his head with the barbed wire! Sharc falls in a heap back to the floor. Bait just slapped Paulton. Fiend charges at Paulton, who ducks again! Bait goes down in a heap!
The crowd erupted on that one, with a "Ohhhhh."
Ump: Fiend looks down in indifference after taking out the woman with a clothesline, and now goes after Paulton, who just rolled back into the ring. Paulton springs off the ropes. Crossbody block and a cover. He has him down, but the referee is checking on Bait. Fiend is yelling! He gets into the ring for_a one-count.
Shaw: Sharc is busted. Sharc looks down at Bait in shock. Fiend takes Paulton with a Samoan drop. Sharc picks Bait up and is taking her up the ramp? Did he forget there is a match going on?
Ump: Fiend just saw that and heads out to the floor. He's going after Sharc in a sprint. Sharc turned around just in time to see Fiend charging and sidestep him.
BOOM
Ump: Fiend just speared the stage! And collapses. Sharc hands off Bait to one of the referees. And he's got fire in his eyes. He drags Fiend up.
THUD
Ump: And rams his face into the stage.
THUD THUD THUD THUD THUD THUD
Crowd: Eight! Nine! TEN!
The crowd cheered at Fiend's expense, after having his face rammed into the side of the stage ten times.
Ump: Sharc is heading back down to the ring.
Paulton: Aww, c'mon ref. Let them come back. Can't we forget the count outs?
Ump: And Sharc just stopped dead in his tracks.
Shaw: He's going back for Fiend.
Ump: He's got Fiend, whose face is covered in a mask of blood. He pulls him up onto the top of the stage. Oh no, way. He's trying for a powerbomb?
Shaw: Maybe a piledriver on the steel stage. There is no give up there, as you fans should know. Not that there is much more give in the ring. It wouldn't take much to hurt Fiend's neck on steel.
Ump: What the? Sharc just tried to sunset flip him to the floor! Fiend somehow, is holding on, avoiding what could easily put him on the shelf for months, or longer.
Shaw: Fiend grabs Sharc by the throat. Uh oh. A two-handed chokeslam coming up.
Ump: Oh, but Sharc, counters, if you want to call it that, with a jab to Fiend's eye. It was just enough to get Sharc free, who is running back up the aisle.
Shaw: What is he doing?
Ump: He just shoved a fan to the ground. Oh no. He just took one of those special Juggernaut chairs that the fans can take home. He's running back toward Fiend!
CRACK
CRACK
CRACK
The crowd roared in shock at each of the blasts, letting out roars and "ohhhs" with every blast.
Ump: Welcome to Juggernaut II!
Shaw: Indeed.
Ump: Sharc drops the bloody chair and is now staggering back to the ring. Paulton is holding the ropes open for Sharc to come in.
Shaw: Did Sharc just say "thank you"?
Ump: He's getting in with him. Oh no he didn't. He just punched Paulton in the jaw as he began stepping through.
Shaw: Damn heelish tactics. Sheesh.
Ump: What the hell is he doing. Oh no! He is NOT going to try this!
Shaw: He has him locked in for a suplex. But there is only floor behind them. But Paulton is fighting it off.
Ump: A couple shots to the gut.
Shaw: I don't think Sharc noticed, but Fiend is back.
Ump: Fiend is in the ring. Sharc gets up Paulton.
Shaw: SPEAR!
Ump: ALL THREE MEN FALL TO THE FLOOR IN A HEAP!
"Holy shit! Holy shit!" the crowd roared out, with the move that took everyone out of their seats. Fiend speared Sharc, who was suplexing Kayden Paulton. The result? A human car wreck.
Ump: This may now be a question of who can get up and into the ring first.
Shaw: You think?
Ump: Fiend should be in the best shape, but he did put all of his body into that spear.
Shaw: And it looks like Paulton's going to make it up first. When the head is empty, things hurt less.
Ump: All these guys are equally empty-headed in their own ways. And Sharc is next.
Shaw: I guess Fiend is the smartest of the bunch. Though he is starting to move around. Sharc with a huge punch at Paulton, but it misses. Paulton kicks Sharc in the stomach. Uh oh!
Ump: This may be it here! If Sharc feels In Color, this one is all over. He has Sharc up! Fiend is back in! He grabs Paulton from behind. Night Falls! Connects!
Shaw: Good night Paulton.
Ump: That was a modified version of Fiend's move, as Paulton and Sharc ended up both landing on him. But wait! Sharc's got the cover! On instinct, he hooks the legs!
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
Ump: Sharc wins!
Shaw: Unbelievable. What an opening match. It took Sharc long enough, but he finally finished off Paulton.
Ump: Sharc gets his arm raised from the mat. All three of these men put on one hell of a show. I can't wait to see how the rest of this night unfolds.
Outcome: Sharc via Pinfall
