Nighttime. A man slowly walked down Elm Street, his back to the camera. The man seemed to be of average height, with shoulder-length dark hair. The light was not good enough to make out anything else, but seeing only his backside was the real obstacle. He slipped between or rammed his way past other people walking the street.
"November 22, 1963, was once considered day that everything changed," the man said, voice clear as a bell as he continued to walk down the street. "On this very street, yet another tragedy fell upon this country of ours. John F. Kennedy was gunned down like any other piece of human garbage as he was driven down this street."
Heads turned to see who was talking inappropriately and callously about one of the darkest and most controversial events in American history, with no regard.
"After that day, our nation headed deeper and deeper into a moral abyss that this country has yet to escape from. Whether is was sending out soldiers to die in wars, or national scandals always surrounding the president, whether it was Watergate or involved some slut sucking dick in the Oval Office.
"There once was a time when America had morality and values. This country was like a giant 1950s sitcom. 'Leave It To Beaver,' 'Donna Reed,' or 'Father Knows Best.' People worked hard, cared about their families, were polite, were human. Then, after a flurry of bullets, evil, corruption and ethics were buried in the grave with him.
"And what medium brought this hell right into every American's living room? Television. Americans stared, their hearts breaking, tears flowing, as they watched it all unfold. And as the conspiracy theories and pathetic leaders followed one after another, and the quality of our leaders declined, so has our land. But I guess that's just a reflection of this toilet we're all swimming in.
"Today, people will shoot you if you turn down the wrong road. Today, people will shoot pregnant women days away from giving birth. You don't know if the moment you step out the door if you'll make it back home in one piece. You might get wiped out by some drunk driver as you're taking a walk. You might get assaulted with bioterrorism. You might get anthrax mailed right to your door. You might just get beaten and stabbed while you're waiting for a train.
"You just don't know when tragedy is going to strike next. And we all have this street to thank for it. The blood that spilled that day still stains this country.
"Bottom line. This world ain't a sitcom. This is real life. And I'm a product of this world. Hated by all. And once I arrive in Action, I will be feared by all. I will take Action's little sitcom world and inject it with a bullet. So keep watching. Some news is going to be breaking really soon.
"When will this tragedy strike? Only the Lord knows."
