Make Like a Gingerbread Man and RUN!

Pressure Point 57
April 21, 2003
Starring: Fiend

Fiend darted out through the front entrance with some police behind him.

He'd done some stuff in the ring before, stuff that people just say "Maybe you're pushing it, buddy".

But then there was the other stuff he'd done. All the other stuff. Like the cutting of someone's forehead. Smashing someone's hand into tiny bits for someone else.

Maybe he'd pushed his luck too far.

Fiend bolted down the street, with some cops still in pursuit, a couple had jumped into a car. Fiend hadn't been to Indiana before. He didn't know these streets. He didn't know where to hide.

But he did know enough about "disappearing" that he could get away in De Boise or Indiana.

There would be somewhere Fiend could hide. And he would get away.

He bolted down the main road, right down the middle. A car was already in pursuit and there were some officers on foot trying to catch up to him. Fiend knew that he could get rid of the car in traffic, but these guys on foot would be a pain in the neck.

"STOP! THE MORE YOU RUN THE MORE SHIT YOU'LL BE IN! WE JUST WANNA TALK!" screamed the fatter officer as he ran after Fiend.

Talk?

I think it goes along the lines of "You have the right to remain silent..." You don't talk to someone who mutilated someone's face on National television.

You arrest them.

And if this were New York, he'd probably get beat, too.

Fiend winded around a corner and noticed himself a nice busy movie theatre, which was obviously between screenings with the amount of people meandering around the lobby.

He WOULD find shelter there...
