Sharc vs. Kayden Paulton
Pressure Point 57
April 21, 2003
"96 Quite Bitter Beings" began, which meant it was time for a feud that has been building for weeks to continue, or end. That feud was Kayden Paulton and Sharc.
As Paulton stepped out from backstage, well, there was going to be an entrance tonight. Sharc ran out from right behind him and bulldogged him on the floor!
The music was cut off and replaced by boos from the Crowd that was pissed off at the cheap attack. That was when Bait came out from the back with the barbed wire 2x4.
Sharc took the weapon from her grip and stared down at Paulton, smiling. He bent down, grabbed his chin and picked him up so he could slide the barbed wire across the flesh on his forehead! It was only a matter of seconds before Paulton was a bloody mess.
The referee has come all the way to the ring to plead with Sharc to take this match to the ring, but he was biting.
Well, he WASN'T. Until he began biting Paulton's forehead, a move Sharc had never used before. Apparently he really hated Paulton and wanted to scar the kid for life.
Someone in the crowd tossed a beer and hit Sharc in the chest and then sprayed all over both men. Sharc shook it off and Kayden tried to push himself up. Sharc waited a few seconds for him to pull himself up using the guardrail. That was when he grabbed him and whipped him into the guard rail.
Tried to. Paulton reversed, sending Sharc back first into the rail, so hard he bounced back off and Paulton backdropped him into the first row of fans at the railing!
That got a very nice reaction from the crowd. After gasping for breath, Paulton got back up and went for Sharc. He grabbed him by his red hair and suplexed him back into the aisle! Sharc landed with a mighty thud.
"Wow, I'm bleeding again? At least I look good in the crimson mask!" Paulton shouted. "Hey Sharc, I hope that move didn't hurt too much. How 'bout we head to the ring?"
Paulton headed that way, his back to Sharc. But Sharc eventually got up and started full sprint toward his nemesis. But the warning roar from the crowd alerted Paulton something was up, so he spun around and delivered a high-angle superkick!
This time, Kayden decided to help Sharc into the ring. Literally. He picked him up, but an arm around him and helped him onto the apron with some help from the referee.
Inside, he made a cover.
One.
Two.
Shoulder up. It was not going to be that easy.
"Man, you really cut me good," Kayden said wiping away some blood as if it were sweat from his forehead, briefly revealing some flesh not covered by blood. Then he shrugged and got down into the three-point position.
Once Sharc was up, he charged, and connected! Sharc went down in a heap, with Paulton taking a second cover.
One.
TWO!
THRE-NO! Foot on the rope! Oh, so close.
Paulton shrugged and grabbed his legs and moved him to center ring. He headed out to the apron, as the fans rose to their feet. Paulton climbed to the top rope and looked around at the cheering Crowd and dove!
ELBOW DROP!
No miss in that one.
Another cover!
ONE!
TWO!
THRE-SHOULDER UP!
The fans groaned in disappointment, eager to see somebody pin Sharc, a feat nobody has yet accomplished.
Sharc rolled toward the ropes, and got there. Kayden came toward him, but Sharc headed to the apron.
"Come here," Sharc grunted.
"OK" Kayden responded.
Kayden walked through the ropes, only to get kicked stiffly on the top of his skull. Dazed, Paulton fell to one knee. Sharc pulled him up and then did something suicidal.
A Russian leg sweep onto the mats on the floor below.
The crowd jumped to their feet as the two men thudded on the floor, their bodies bouncing from the entire lack of give the floor has. Neither man was in very good shape after that one.
So the referee began his count.
ONE!
No signs of life yet.
TWO!
Some random spasms or jerks made the two men move.
THREE!
Kayden lifted his head off, trying to shake out the cobwebs. Sharc rolled over onto his front and tried to find some strength to push himself up.
FOUR!
Sharc was to his knees, shaking his head.
"Can I get a hand?"
Sharc punched Paulton for that one.
FIVE!
Sharc dragged Paulton up and shoved him onto the apron. He slid into the ring and dragged Paulton up and got behind him.
He was ready to end it.
Sharc grabbed Paulton around the neck, ready to hit Blood in the Water. His inverted brainbuster.
But he'd never get the chance to execute it.
Because Sharc became the victim of Night Falls. At the hands of Fiend.
Kayden looked up a bit dazed but…
"FIEND!!!"
Kick to the jaw.
With Paulton out of the way, there was only one person left.
The referee.
Fiend pulled out a knife.
The referee ran like hell to the back.
But Fiend didn't put the knife away. Happy to see Paulton gushing blood, he moved toward Sharc, who was not bleeding enough. Fiend kneeled down to look at Sharc and put the knife just over his face to get a good look.
"You want to fuck with me?" Fiend shook his head. "Nobody fucks with me who doesn't bleed."
That was when Fiend drove the knife down on Sharc's forehead.
Up and down, up and down, gouging several new holes into Sharc's forehead, scarring him for life.
Sharc could only scream in pain as the sharp blade pierced and was pulled violently from his skin, over and over, over and over, seeing nothing but red, thinking he was no doubt going to bleed do death, or Fiend was going to break through his skull and pierce his brain with that sharp knife. But luckily, he was taken into unconsciousness before he'd have to worry about that.
The crowd could only stare at the scene in horror. Silent. They had never seen such a violent outburst as this. Sharc was bleeding so much that there was a literal pool of blood around his head.
That was when security rushed the ring. This had gone far.
WAY too far.
Fiend smartly rolled out of the ring and into the crowd.
Avoiding the law. And executing his own.
Fiend was the winner tonight. Even though the match had not involved him.
Outcome: No Contest.
