Feb. 3, 2003
Starring: ???

[Columbine, Colorado.]

Inside the hallways of the infamous high school only the sound of two feet slowly walking the hallway could be heard. The place was dimly lit, empty, deserted. The echoing footsteps stopped and were replaced by a voice as in the background "A Dios Alma Perdida" began to play.

"April 20, 1999. It was a sunny day. Just a normal day until just around 11 a.m. Then what was just an ordinary day became a horror movie that played out for the world to see on television. Terrified faces, running in fear from this building. Teenagers soaked in blood. Crying."

The emotionless voice paused before continuing on.

"It only took 16 minutes for them to wound and kill all of the victims. It only took 16 minutes for the world to get yet another close up look at the face of evil. It only took 16 minutes for the world to witness another tragedy played out in all bloody red reality.

"Human lives were reduced to yellow stickers beside a pool of blood. Lives were extinguished, leaving hollowness inside of every family who lost a loved one. Bullets were the instrument of chaos and destruction. The blasts did more than put holes in walls and shatter windows. It killed human life.

"To know such power is to know what it's like to be a god. It's scary, knowing you can control somebody else's fate. People continue to live their lives in their self-centered existence, worrying about their petty problems, filled with rage, filled with hurt, filled with sorrow and pain and so many emotions rolled into one, you just don't want to deal with it anymore."

A humorless laugh.

"Unless somebody dies and reminds you what real terror is. It's not if you'll have enough rent money or if you have a girlfriend or if your parents abuse you. When it comes down to it, people worry most about themselves. When terror hits in their own backyard.

"Well, there's an intruder in the yard. And you're listening to his voice. So keep living your lives. Keep walking blind. Keep being human.

"When will tragedy strike next? Only the Lord knows."
