And there he stood. Alone. The winner. A place he had been many times in his career. A place that belonged to him. The winner's circle. Diamondback stared around at the crowd, which seemed indifferent to the man who was in only his first match in Spinebuster Wrestling.

After raising his arms in victory for the third or fourth time, a sick smile on his face, he called for a microphone. And got it. These would be the first words, the words that would either make or break him. And he knew it.

"Fuck. You. All!" Serpent roared out, falling to his knees, laughing ferociously. The fans booed at that one, not expecting that as an introduction to the man who would now go onto face the World Champion. He stood back up and continued.

"Fuck the wrestlers and, yeah, fuck all you fans too. You are not here to cheer for me. You are here to hate me. Why? Because you people hate winners. That's too god damned bad. So you are all wondering why I won the match?

"All my life, I have won. I've been a world champion too many times to count. Tag champ, any singles title you want to name. Whenever I got the chance, I scored. I didn't fumble. You see, people don't remember the losers. You can put up the greatest fight of your life. The only question people will be asking at the end of the show is who won.

"I did."

With that, DB smiled, waiting for the boos, which came. DB's manner of speech invited hate. Cocky, with an attitude, but with a deadly undertone. There was no joke in his words. There was just brutal truth.

"I beat everyone this shithole had to offer me. So yeah, get used to it. Get used to seeing me being a champion. You have no idea what you are about to experience. Diamondback is here. There should be no more fucking question about it.

"The rules have changed. I've been busting spines for 13 years. There is nobody who will stand in my way. You're looking at the face of the Great Manipulator. You're looking at the face of past, present and all time. I am forever."

With that, Diamondback threw down the microphone and headed up the aisle with "Frantic" by Metallica playing.
